Complete guide to installing, configuring, and using WoodsTrust for HubSpot
1. Overview
WoodsTrust is a HubSpot-native app that automatically syncs Google Reviews to your HubSpot portal and displays them on your website. Build social proof, manage feedback, and boost conversions without any coding.

2. Prerequisites
Before installing WoodsTrust, ensure you have:
- ✅ HubSpot account (any tier with website functionality)
- ✅ Verified Google Business Profile
- ✅ Admin access in both HubSpot and Google accounts
- ✅ HubSpot website or CMS access (for widget embedding)
3. Installation
Step 1: Go to HubSpot Marketplace
Step 2: Search for "WoodsTrust"
Step 3: Click "Install app"
Step 4: Review and approve requested permissions
Step 5: Complete OAuth authorization
4. Connect Google Business
- After installation, navigate to WoodsTrust Dashboard in your HubSpot portal
- Click Connect Google Account
- Select your Google account (must have access to Business Profile)
- Choose which Business Profile(s) to sync
- Click Allow to grant permissions
5. Customize Widget
Make the review widget match your brand:
- Colors: Primary, secondary, text, and background colors
- Layout: Grid, carousel, or list view
- Filters: Show only 4+ star reviews or specific keywords
- Number of reviews: Choose how many to display
- Avatar style: Rounded, square, or initials
All changes are previewed live before saving.
6. Embed on Website
Two ways to add WoodsTrust to your HubSpot website:
Method A: HubSpot Module (Recommended)
1. Edit any HubSpot page
2. Drag the WoodsTrust Review Widget module
3. Configure settings in the sidebar
4. Publish your page
Method B: Embed Code

Replace YOUR_LOCATION_ID with your Business Profile ID from the dashboard.
7. Manage Reviews
From the WoodsTrust Dashboard, you can:

- ✏️ Respond to reviews directly (opens Google)
- 📈 Track review trends and sentiment
- 📤 Export reviews as CSV

A: Reviews sync automatically every 6 hours. You can also manually trigger a sync from the dashboard.

A: No! The widget loads asynchronously after your page content, so it doesn't affect page speed scores.

A: Yes, you can connect multiple profiles and display reviews from any or all of them.

9. Troubleshooting
❌ No reviews are showing
Solution: Check that your Google Business Profile has at least one review. Sync manually from the dashboard and wait 2-3 minutes.
❌ OAuth error when connecting Google
Solution: Ensure you're using the correct Google account with Business Profile ownership. Clear browser cache and try again.
❌ Widget not appearing on website
Solution: Verify the embed code is correctly placed. Check that the location ID matches your Business Profile. Clear HubSpot cache.
10. Uninstall
- Go to Settings → Apps in your HubSpot portal
- Find WoodsTrust in the list
- Click Uninstall
- Confirm uninstallation
